How We Review Products
GarageSanctum product guides are built to help readers compare garage equipment and accessories by practical fit, specifications, installation needs, safety considerations, durability signals, and overall usefulness.
We do not want a buying guide to be just a list of products. A useful guide should explain what matters, who a product is for, and what tradeoffs or limitations a buyer should check before purchasing.
What we consider
Depending on the topic, we may compare product specifications, compatibility, sizing, materials, power requirements, weight limits, installation complexity, warranty information, replacement parts, owner feedback, and current availability.
For garage equipment such as workbenches, lifts, compressors, flooring, and openers, fit and safety matter. We try to call out constraints such as space, load limits, electrical needs, vehicle compatibility, surface preparation, and installation difficulty when those details are relevant.
Testing, research, and limitations
Some GarageSanctum pages are based on product research, manufacturer specifications, reader intent, public owner feedback, and comparison of available options. We should not imply hands-on testing unless a page clearly states that a product was personally tested.
Older guides may contain products that need refreshing. When we identify outdated products, broken availability, weak recommendations, or changed specifications, we may revise the guide or direct readers to a better current resource.
Affiliate relationships
Some product links are affiliate links. If you buy through those links, GarageSanctum may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not change the price you pay and should not be the reason a product is included or recommended.

How recommendations change
Recommendations can change when products are discontinued, specs change, owner feedback shifts, safer options become available, or a guide is updated for a different use case. We may remove products, reorder recommendations, or replace outdated picks when that creates a more useful page.
