Mechanix Gloves Size Chart
Quick answer: Mechanix glove sizing is based mainly on palm width and finger length. If you are between sizes, Mechanix commonly recommends sizing down for a snug fit. For shop work, a glove that is too loose can reduce grip and make small parts harder to handle.

How To Measure Your Hand
- Measure your dominant hand.
- Measure palm width across the palm, not around the hand like a dress-glove measurement.
- Measure finger length from the indicated base point to the tip of the middle finger.
- If your palm width and finger length point to different sizes, try the size that matches your most important fit need.
- For mechanic work, avoid extra fabric at the fingertips because it makes clips, fasteners, and small tools harder to control.
Snug vs Loose Fit
A snug work glove usually gives better dexterity. A loose glove may feel comfortable at first, but it can bunch up on ratchets, pliers, triggers, and small fasteners. If you wear liners under gloves or prefer more room, size choice may change.
Source Notes
Measurements were checked against Mechanix Wear’s glove sizing guide and retailer size charts based on Mechanix sizing. Always check the size guide for the exact glove model because insulated, impact, and coated gloves can fit differently.
